National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Rememberance Day

Today(October 15, 2009) is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day so in Lieu of this day here is a little photo that I did in Remembrance of Our Angels and of those who are deeply missed by their loved ones on this day.

Crocheted Infant Hat with Flower

I haven't posted in a really long time. I have been working several projects lately and just finished one. I really like the way it came out! This is a hat for a baby girl using a basic stitch. The flower is a little more tricky compared to the hat but pretty easy just the same.

Rag Quilt

I made this rag quilt for my nephew who was born on April 10th. I used a really simple tutorial that I found online: http://jenyu.net/make/ragquilt.php

Lining up all of the squares for sewing. (At this point I had already sewn the front to the back and made the X across each square.)

Close up of the squares sewn and cut. You can see the reason it's called a rag quilt.

My sister at the hospital after we presented the blanket to her. My nephew was on his way. That's my hubby with his sissy =)

I Miss You

Here's one I just finished. This is my paternal grandfather. He passed away and took a part of my heart with him on December 16, 2007. He was an amazing man who could pick up any instrument and play. He invented many things and was a very intelligent man. Most of all, he was a man of God and worked very hard at letting others know about his faith. He passed down the gift of music and photography to me and I cherish the cameras and memories he gave me and am grateful that I had him in my life. I miss him every single day and know that he's with my angels.
